Professional Development

Training Requirements

  • Staff – Two professional development courses per evaluation year
  • Faculty – Refer to requirements of RPT (For more information, check out the link for the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence, or contact Tammara Williams-Dias, tammara.williams-dias@okstate.edu)

Mandatory Training – For all employees

  • Annual Title VII and IX
  • Quarterly OSHA - provided by department of Safety & Security
  • FERPA – if required
  • Annual Minors on Campus – if required
  • Fostering & Promoting Diversity
  • I.T. Information Security Awareness
  • Departmental training as assigned

Tuition & Fee Waivers

Eligible Employees may request a waiver of tuition and fees for credit courses taken with OSU-OKC. For more information, visit the Employee Resources page.

Don't forget to take advantage of the professional development time that is set aside for employees every Friday morning from 8:00-9:00am. 4th Friday Connections

Every 4th Friday of the month, from 8:15 A.M. - 9:00 A.M. we are teaming up with various departments on campus to make a “connection”.  Each department will tell us a little bit about themselves and what they do. We will have time at the end of the session for any Q and A’s. Watch your OKstate email for for information on how to join these live Zoom meeting events.
