Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are great opportunities for students to receive on-the-job training while completing the requirements for related instruction. In an apprenticeship program, students are employees with a company from the first day of the apprenticeship. While working, students complete courses to help them gain knowledge and skills for the workplace.

At the end of a registered apprenticeship with the U.S. Department of Labor, students receive a credential noting their work as a registered apprentice and recognizing their achievement of national standards.

Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City is partnering with Oklahoma Commerce to create apprenticeship opportunities aligned with the standards for registered apprenticeships from the U.S. Department of Labor.
