Traditional pathway pre-admission nursing exam:

  • Student earns points based on their Next-Generation Accuplacer* pre-admission exam test scores.
  • Applicants must test in each of the three areas assessed; Reading, Writing, and Quantitative Reasoning.
  • Students can take the exam three (3) times per testing cycle with two (2) weeks in between, not to exceed six (6) times a year.
  • Exam results are valid for three (3) years if taken at OSU-OKC.
  • Exam results are valid for one (1) year if taken outside OSU-OKC.
  • There is no limit to the number of times an applicant may apply for admission to the OSU-OKC Nurse Science Program

Please visit the Testing and Assessment Center's website for more information and to schedule your test.

*Note:  Frequently repeated testing is discouraged as it is not a good indication of your readiness.  For the results to be meaningful to you and for admissions purposes, we limit testing to three times per testing cycle and six times per year.  We are requiring a two-week waiting period for retesting to allow for additional preparation time for the exam.  There are study materials in your Accuplacer account that can help you prepare for the next time you test.  You can also register for and access free practice tools, practice tests, and other resources to help with your Accuplacer scores at https://accuplacer.collegeboard.org/students/prepare-for-accuplacer/practice.

Accuplacer exams must be taken with live proctoring.  Presently, computer/AI-based remote proctored exam results are not recognized.
