Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy Snapshot

Students receiving any type of federal and/or state financial assistance at OSU-Oklahoma City must show academic progression toward the completion of their degree or certificate by maintaining their:

Grade Point Average – Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 1.7 on a 4.0 scale for 0 – 30 attempted hours OR 2.0 on a 4.0 scale for greater than 30 hours attempted.

Measurement of Completion Ratio (PACE) – Successfully complete at least sixty-seven (67) percent of all credit hours attempted. To determine your completion ratio, review your transcript then divide the number of earned hours by the number of attempted hours.

Excessive Hours (Maximum Timeframe of Eligibility) – students are allowed a maximum timeframe of 150% the hours required to complete their degree. Students with hours over this timeframe or who have already received a degree will be deemed ineligible for aid. Students in this situation will need to submit a financial aid appeal and receive an appeal approval in order to be considered eligible for aid at OSU-Oklahoma City. Financial Aid Appeal forms are on our website.

We encourage all financial aid applicants to thoroughly read the Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy Snapshot and seek assistance from Academic Advisement on how to plan your future enrollments to ensure continued financial aid eligibility.
