Teen Driving: Alive@25
Defensive Driving program for Teens and Young Adults
Presented by OSU-OKC’s Precision Driving Training Center
The OSU-OKC Precision Driving Training Center recognizes the significant need for defensive driving skills for teen drivers in our community.
Each driver will be taught the following modules:
Classroom:
- Unsafe Driving Behaviors
- Safety Restraints
- Personal Responsibility
Hands-on:
- Shuffle Steering
- Backing & Cornering
- Off-road Recovery
- Collision Avoidance
- Skid Avoidance & Recovery
Course Requirements:
Participants must:
- Be between the ages of 15 ½ & 21.
- Have at least a learner’s permit with 30+ hours of driving experience.
- Be comfortable and confident behind the wheel. (This is a Defensive Driving Course not Driver’s Ed.)
Note: A driver’s license is preferable but if they meet the above requirements then they can take this course with a learner’s permit.
Course Information:
- Course times for one-day courses, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Pizza and drinks provided)
- Course times for two-day evening courses, 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. (Pizza and drinks provided on the second evening only)
- Limited to 12 students
- Insurance Reduction Certificate awarded upon completion
