Oklahoma City - An OSU Degree in OKC.

Spin the wheel and start the semester at OSU-OKC

College students are metaphorically taking their fortune into their own hands and spinning forth into their future as they begin their fall semester. It’s helpful to have a connection with faculty to provide a guiding word and steady hand no matter where the wheel might land.

Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City’s professional studies students can bring this allegory into visual life, and make connections for their semester and their future, at a Meet the Professors event on the first and second days of the fall semester, Aug. 19 and 20, 2024.

Students can ask questions about classes and expectations, meet professors outside the classroom setting, and get acquainted with a friendly face on campus. Also, students can spin a wheel to win prizes like candy, pens, highlighters and a few very special prizes including pop-sockets and coffee mugs! It’s a chance to network, have fun, and kick off the semester on a good note.

Dr. Hala Gheriani, Dean of the School of Professional Studies at OSU-OKC said faculty connections can help students find their way if the semester proves daunting.

“We encourage you to reach out to professors throughout campus and let them know about your hopes and objectives at OSU-OKC,” Gheriani said. “All of us at OSU-OKC are here as a team to help you reach your goals.”

The event will be held in the first floor LRC lobby from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Aug. 19 and Aug. 20, the first two days of fall classes.
