Oklahoma City - An OSU Degree in OKC.

FAFSA sessions set for Aug. 1, 3

Looking for in-person aid with your financial aid for college?

OSU-OKC is offering a free FAFSA event at three different times in the coming days.

Held in OSU-OKC’s Student Center, the FAFSA events will be held at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, and 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3.

The FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, has been updated this year. The 2024-2025 FAFSA is designed to be faster and easier to fill out, with most students and families completing it in less than 15 minutes.

You can register for OSU-OKC's free FAFSA event online

You can also complete the 2024-2025 FAFSA online at www.FAFSA.gov. More information about the FAFSA process, helpful links, and free FAFSA tools can be found at www.startwithfafsa.org.

The FAFSA provides access to federal grants, scholarships, and work-study programs for college, and some state aid, too. An explanatory video is here: http://tinyurl.com/2e4axcj8

Students need a Federal Student Aid ID to complete, sign, edit, & renew their FAFSA (and to access helpful FSA websites). Create your FSA ID at https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch.

Many students assume they won’t qualify for financial aid for college, but every HS senior & college student should complete the FAFSA. Nearly everyone who completes the FAFSA qualifies for some form of financial aid for college. Even if you haven’t finalized your college choice, it’s best to complete the FAFSA as early as possible.

If you have questions about FAFSA, or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, there will be financial aid experts on hand at the OSU-OKC events to help with questions about the form.

If you can’t make the special events, FAFSA assistance is still available on campus Monday-Thursday from  8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the OSU-OKC campus in the Student Center.
