OSU President Kayse Shrum applauded the regents for prioritizing student access and affordability while continuing to expand the reach and impact of Oklahoma’s largest university system.
“As we’ve said before, holding the line on tuition and mandatory fees is the right thing to do for Oklahoma students and families. At OSU, eliminating or reducing student debt is a key imperative in our strategic plan, and holding student costs steady where possible is a key part of this effort, as is our commitment to expanding student scholarships.”
Dr. Ronna Vanderslice, OSU-OKC interim provost and vice provost of academic affairs of the OSU System, said the job possibilities provided by OSU-OKC combined with the affordable cost makes OSU-OKC a key partner in bolstering Oklahoma City’s workforce.
“Following President Shrum’s initiatives, we really believe holding tuition and fees flat for OSU-OKC will appeal to many potential students who might think they can’t afford to attend college and better their careers,” said Dr. Ronna Vanderslice, Interim Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs. “We are here to help those students attain a degree and start a new career path forward for them and their families.”
