OSU-OKC to close for Juneteenth – no classes on June 19

Classes will not be held on June 19, 2024, and campus will be closed in celebration of Juneteenth

The Oklahoma State University System recognizes Juneteenth as an official institutional holidayJuneteenth marks the arrival of federal troops in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865, to ensure all enslaved people were freed, and commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.

Starting in 2022, the university made the holiday part of its academic calendar.
