Admission Standards and Procedures

International students enrolled full-time must submit:

  1. OSU-OKC International Student Application for Admission.
     
  2. Current financial guarantee of support showing the ability to finance the projected educational goals. Educational expenses should be estimated at $19,387 per academic year.
     
  3. Official bank statement from sponsor dated within the last 6 months.
     
  4. Official certified high school records with official English translation if applicant has no prior college work.
     
  5. Valid passport, valid I-94 and I-20 identification (which may be presented on arrival if student is entering the U.S. from abroad)
     
  6. Proof of English proficiency* demonstrated by one of the following:
     
    1. Score of 500 or better on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) paper version or 173 or better on the computer version or 61 or better on the Internet version.
    2. Score from 460-499 on the TOEFL paper version or 140-172 on the computer version or 48-60 on the Internet version and the subsequent completion of twelve or more weeks of study of English at an approved Intensive English Program (IEP).
    3. Successful completion of at least 24 college hours at an accredited U.S. college or university. Cumulative grade point average must be a minimum of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
    4. Graduation from a U.S. high school (must complete all four years of English).
        * Students from the following countries may be accepted without proof of proficiency: Australia, Bahamas, British Isles (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales), Canada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Liberia, New Zealand, South Africa, Tobago, Trinidad and West Indies.

International Students who wish to be concurrently enrolled must submit the following:

  1. OSU-OKC Admissions Application.
     
  2. Official letter of good standing from the parent institution. This letter must reflect any previous attendance during fall and/or spring terms and how many hours they are permitted to enroll. This letter of good standing must be submitted each semester of attendance.
     
  3. Official college transcript(s) from all institutions attended.
