OSU-OKC to host first Friday Tech Forum

Presentation to cover cloud computing on Amazon Web Services

Presenters from Amazon Web Services will be on the Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City campus on Feb. 8 for the school’s first Friday Tech Forum.

The forum – titled “Cloud Computing on AWS” – is set for 8 to 10 a.m. Feb. 8 at the Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City (OSU-OKC) Community Impact Center, 930 N Portland Ave.

The free presentation will cover business-level understanding of what Amazon Web Services (AWS) can provide for organizations and developers. Topics in the presentation will include the philosophy of cloud computing; a brief history of AWS; reasons for migrating to the cloud; global infrastructure and breadth of functionality on AWS; and helpful resources to get your migration to the cloud started.

The material is ideal for IT directors, IT management, IT supervisors, IT administrators and developers.

The presentation by the AWS team will be followed with a question-and-answer session.
