Oklahoma City - An OSU Degree in OKC.

Orientation events set for Aug. 2 and Aug. 7

The fall semester is just around the corner! Two orientation events are planned to help current and future students get ready to have a successful semester.
The “Spark” New Student Orientation will let students dive into the OSU-OKC experience and get information to prepare them for the first day of classes.  The events will begin at 10 a.m. on Aug. 2 and 3 p.m. on Aug. 7.
Registration for the events is free, and parents are welcome. Register at: osuokc.edu/orientation.
OSU-OKC's Evelin Mendoza, Student Life Coordinator, said games, giveaways and prizes are just part of the fun.
“We’re going to have food; we’re going to have photo ops,” Mendoza said. “Pretty much one-stop shop -- all the information you need to thrive on this campus, we will have there for you to get you ready and going.”
Advisors, financial aid counselors and admissions personnel will be on hand at the event.
Programs like Project SOAR and the Student Success Center will have advisors available as well.
Mendoza said online-only students are also welcome to attend the orientation to find out about what services OSU-OKC has available for them.
Fall classes begin Aug. 19.
