John Lopez To Deliver OSU-OKC Commencement Speech
OKLAHOMA CITY (May 2, 2023) - John Patrick Lopez knows a thing or two about wearing America’s brightest orange. Lopez has two sons attending Oklahoma State University. On May 12, the President of Lopez-Dorada Foods will speak to OSU-OKC’s 2023 graduation class.
Lopez has helped build and create one of the largest Hispanic-owned food companies in the United States. And with Lopez-Dorada plants in three states, growth and success have led Lopez-Dorada to enjoy a decades-long relationship with McDonald’s.
They now continue to expand, investing millions in operations, innovating with new products, taking on domestic and international markets, and promoting diversity and inclusion. Since its inception, Lopez-Dorada Foods has consistently provided products to some of the world's largest retailers, illustrating the benefit of staying true to the company's original passion.

Lopez has served in a variety of positions at Lopez-Dorada including Director of Purchasing, Director of Operations, Vice President Operations and COO. He currently serves on the Industry Advisory Committee for the Food and Agricultural Products Center at OSU.
“I’m honored and humbled to be the commencement speaker celebrating the 2023 graduating class of OSU-OKC welcoming the next generation of leaders and innovators,” Lopez said.
Lopez and his family are also dedicated to continuing the legacy of giving back by supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities around the world and in areas like Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
Graduation ceremonies will be Friday, May 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jim Norick Arena, 333 Gordon Cooper St. on the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds.
