Former OSU Football Star and Super Bowl winner Donovan Woods to Speak at Graduation
OKLAHOMA CITY (May 9, 2024) – Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City will celebrate the Class of 2024 Friday, May 10, 2024, with commencement ceremonies.
Commencement will take place at the historic Norick Arena at the Oklahoma State Fair Grounds at 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend. This year’s theme is “One Purpose, One Goal, You.” This year’s commencement speaker is former Oklahoma State University football star and Super Bowl Champion Donovan Woods.
Woods is currently the Director of Development for the Oklahoma State University Foundation focusing on efforts on OSU-OKC and the Division of Access and Community Impact. His primary role includes identifying, cultivating, and soliciting ongoing relationships with major-gift supporters of Oklahoma State University.
“We are extremely proud to bring back one of our own in the Oklahoma State University system to speak to our graduates this year,” said Vice-President of Operations for OSU-OKC Michael Widell. “Donovan has truly been a Cowboy for life and understands what a ceremony like this means to so many of these students. I know everyone in that arena will take away something from his speech.”
Nearly 900 students will graduate. Meanwhile, commencement ceremonies will be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube.
