Deadline nears for RN pathway programs application

Deadline approaches for application to OSU-OKC RN pathway program

Applicants have until Dec. 2 to apply for spring semester classes

OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 21, 2019) – The deadline to apply for spring semester classes for Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City’s registered nurse pathway program is quickly approaching.

Interested students have until Dec. 2 to submit their application, with classes beginning Jan. 21. The program is designed for licensed practical nurses (LPN) or paramedics who want to study to become a registered nurse (RN).

To assist students looking to make that transition, Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City (OSU-OKC) has developed a new mentor/advisor position within the program. The mentor aligns with each cohort of students and remains with them until the completion of their studies.

Upon completion of the program, students are able to earn their RN status by sitting for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurse.

The application process for the pathway program is separate from the school’s general application for attendance. Interested individuals should contact the OSU-OKC Health Sciences Division at (405) 945-3210 to learn how to apply for the pathway program.
