WHY A PET HERO CONTEST?

OSU-OKC is home to one of the best Veterinary Technology programs in the country. A Pet Hero contest recognizes the special animal friends that walk, fly and slither into our lives while highlighting the people who dedicate their careers to animal care and by extension, make the lives of humans and communities better. The Pet Hero stories support fundraising efforts for scholarships to OSU-OKC’s Registered Veterinary Technician Program with the goal of helping our students graduate debt-free.

THE SCOOP ON OUR VETERINARY TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM

Students in OSU-OKC's Veterinary Technician Program provide valuable services to our Oklahoma communities before and after graduation. As part of their training, student Veterinary Technicians treat animals under the supervision of licensed veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians at partnership animal shelters in and around the Oklahoma City metro area. Student veterinary technicians learn to work with a variety of animals including companion animals, large animals, and exotic species.
