Oklahoma City - An OSU Degree in OKC.

Cowboys United for First-Gen Students

Last year, Cowboys United for Mental Health raised over $300,000 from more than 600 supporters, enabling OSU to expand mental health services across our campuses. With these funds, we provided additional counseling sessions, hired more graduate students to reduce wait times, and partnered with a virtual support network to ensure all OSU students have access to mental health resources. This year, Cowboys United will focus on supporting our first-generation students, ensuring they have the resources they need to thrive at OSU and beyond.

Cowboys United for First-Gen Students is an online giving event that aims to expand services to support first-generation college students across the Oklahoma State University system. Between 20% to 25% of OSU students identify as first-gen. Supporting first-generation college students aligns with OSU’s land-grant mission. Cowboys United launched in 2022 and has provided transformational statewide impact to students at OSU. We look forward to impacting more lives alongside you during Cowboys United for First-Gen Students

Every gift to the campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $150,000 thanks to the generosity of the Paul M. Milburn Fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation and the Mendenhall Family.
