Tammara has over 20 years of experience in instructional design, academic technology, online teaching and learning, and faculty development/training in higher education, common schools, and the nonprofit and private sectors. She has been teaching courses in educational psychology, cultural history, and humanities at the college level for over 17 years and has been designing and teaching online undergraduate courses since 2003. She brings a wealth of broad and varied experience providing faculty support via instructional design, multimedia design, assistance with Canvas, Zoom, CidiLabs Design Tools, SoftChalk, online proctoring services (ProctorU, Examity), etc.

Mark comes to OSU-OKC CTLE with decades of instructional design and academic technology experience in higher education and the private sector. In addition to harnessing a range of digital technologies to enhance instructional effectiveness across the spectrum of delivery methods, Mark provides support to faculty in their use and mastery of Canvas and Zoom. He also teaches philosophy (OSU-OKC) and pre-collegiate algebra (OU) part-time as an adjunct instructor. He has sung with the Norman Singers since 2013 and enjoys playing piano, guitar, bass, and drums.

Spike brings his many years of video production experience and expertise to OSU-OKC. He has made a wide variety of short films for both entertainment and educational purposes. He has several years of experience as an instructional technologist, and is happy to help faculty with planning and recording instructional videos and adapting course materias into engaging video and multimedia content.
- Instructional Design
CTLE provides instructional design and eLearning development services and support to OSU-OKC faculty and staff, including (although not limited to):
- Online and hybrid course design and development;
- Instructional content and resource development:
- eLearning design, development and support;
- Assistance with implementing Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles;
- Creating/curating content that complies with ADA, 508, WCAG 2.0, and other accessibility standards; and
- Quality MattersTM-based course design reviews with QM-certified instructional designers.
The instructional design team at CTLE can assist faculty and staff with a wide variety of projects, from designing a basic homepage to designing curriculum for a series of courses. We also work with staff to create presentations, eLearning modules, and/or to design, develop, and deliver training and resources. - Online Teaching & Learning

CTLE provides an array of video production and multimedia design services and support. We provide services and support for all five phases of video production (development, pre-production, production, post-production, and distribution). We work with OSU-OKC faculty and staff from the conceptualization of a video or multimedia project, all the way through planning, recording, editing and captioning, and distribution of the final product (via media server platforms such as YuJa, Canvas Studio, YouTube, etc.). We can also provide multimedia design and development services that leverage various types of video, graphics, audio, and other elements to effectively communicate information with the intended audience.
Whether you’re interested in individual video production or would prefer a higher-quality video shoot with our equipment and expertise, we can help. Using your creativity and expertise, we can adapt your course materials into a variety of video types, including graphic explanation videos, kinetic typography, slow motion video, interviews, and much more. If you have a video idea you think would be helpful for your students, we want to help you make it.
Along with the video production and multimedia design services we maintain two multimedia recording studios available to faculty. The studios can be reserved for sessions and are fully equipped with computers and devices for creating instructional recordings or hosting a Zoom meeting. Each studio offers:
- Quiet recording space with soundproofing tiles installed on the walls
- Desktop computer equipped with a large high resolution monitor, high speed internet, and applications like Zoom Client, Camtasia, SnagIt, Audacity, YuJa Recorder, and other programs installed for recording and editing your lecture or instructional video
- Professional quality panoramic webcam with high quality microphone and additional lighting
- Dedicated drawing tablet and stylus for recording annotations or creating hand-drawn diagrams, illustrations, and content
- Other additional resources, including a document camera, a portable 40” x 26” magnetic whiteboard, and flip chart easel
Reserving a session in one of our bays is a great option for recording lectures or making various types of instructional videos or content. A member of the CTLE team will be on hand and available to provide technical support and assistance during your reserved session. LRC 103B has a Windows PC while LRC 103D features a Mac Mini.

CTLE Professional Development
The OSU-OKC Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) provides instructional design, instructional technology and multimedia production, and eLearning development services and support to OSU-OKC faculty and staff in a variety of areas, including:
- Online and hybrid course design and development

CTLE provides an array of video production and multimedia design services and support. We have two Media Production Studios for faculty use. The studios (LRC 103B and LRC 103D) can be reserved for sessions and are fully equipped with a computer, lights, large monitor, webcam, microphone, drawing tablet, and other devices for creating instructional content.
In addition to the on-site and online services, CTLE regularly offers faculty development and training sessions throughout the year. (Virtual sessions are usually recorded and later available on-demand.) Our schedule of virtual professional development sessions is usually offered:
- August In-Service (the week before the fall term begins): virtual and/or in-person sessions
- Fall Semester (late October/early November): virtual sessions
- January In-Service (the week before the spring term begins): virtual sessions
- Spring Semester (early – to mid-April): virtual sessions
- Summer Semester(June/July): virtual sessions
Quality Matters
Quality Matters (QM) is a global organization leading quality assurance in online and blended learning. QM is the “gold standard” for high quality online and blended course design. QM has rubrics for Higher Education, K-12, and Continuing & Professional Education. (The QM website is located at https://www.qualitymatters.org.) The Oklahoma QM System Subscription (OKQM) started in 2010 with three institutions. In 2014, OSRHE started supporting a statewide subscription to QM to make it more affordable for all Oklahoma institutions of higher education to participate. OKQM is now comprised of 22 affiliated institutions. You can access OKQM at: https://ocolearnok.org/membership/okqm.
As an OKQM Affiliate, OSU-OKC has access to QM tools and resources, including the QM Higher Education Rubric, 6th edition, which is available via workbooks and brochures. (Copies of the QM Higher Education Rubric Workbook and/or Rubric Standards for Course Design brochures are available by request from the OKC CTLE.) Along with access to the free QM webinars and sessions, OSU-OKC faculty may also participate in professional development opportunities available via OKQM, including three QM workshops for OKQM Affiliates usually offered during the Spring, Summer, and Fall terms:
- “Applying the Quality Matters Rubric” course (APPQMR), the initial course in the peer reviewer certification sequence – registration is $95 per participant;
- “Designing Your Online Course” workshop (DYOC) for faculty designing an online course from scratch – registration is $75 per participant; and
- “Improving Your Online Course” workshop (IYOC) for experienced online faculty who want to improve the design of their existing online course – registration is $75 per participant.
