Student Conduct

The Campus Behavioral Assessment Team (CBAT) provides oversight of Student Conduct on campus. In this role, the coordinator contacts and meets with students to assess situations of possible non-academic misconduct as described in the Student Code of Conduct. We offer education, challenge, and support to students who may be struggling with behavioral issues by enforcing OSU-OKC’s community standards. We also work with our faculty and staff to provide training and consultation to the university community concerning issues of student conduct on campus.

The University Philosophy on Student Discipline

The university’s philosophy on student discipline is educational in nature. The university recognizes that students will make mistakes and poor choices at times. Satisfactory Academic Policy

Federal regulations require the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office to monitor the academic progress of students who apply for federal financial aid. Students receiving any type of federal and/or state financial assistance at OSU-Oklahoma City must show academic progression toward the completion of their degree or certificate by maintaining their:

  1. Grade Point Average – Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 1.7 on a 4.0 scale for 0 – 30 attempted hours OR 2.0 on a 4.0 scale for greater than 30 hours attempted.
  2. Measurement of Completion Ratio (PACE) – Successfully complete at least sixty-seven (67) percent of all credit hours attempted. To determine your completion ratio, review your transcript then divide the number of earned hours by the number of attempted hours.
    Total Number of Earned Hours
    Total Number of Attempted Hours
  3. Excessive Hours (Maximum Timeframe of Eligibility) – students are allowed a maximum timeframe of 150% the hours required to complete their degree. Students with hours over this timeframe or who have already received a degree will be deemed ineligible for aid. Students in this situation will need to submit a financial aid appeal and receive an appeal approval in order to be considered eligible for aid at OSU-Oklahoma City. Financial Aid Appeal forms are on our website.
