The Manufacturing Technician II (QC) Certificate is designed to prepare students for roles in quality assurance within manufacturing environments. Students will gain hands-on experience with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify product specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
This program emphasizes foundational quality control principles including product inspection, process monitoring, and defect prevention. Students will learn to interpret technical drawings and schematics, record inspection results, and complete quality documentation accurately.

Graduates will be equipped to apply quality standards such as ISO 9001 and Six Sigma, identify and troubleshoot quality issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements and Deadlines

The technical courses in this certificate program are also part of the Engineering Technology A.A.S. degree. This certificate can be earned independently of the degree. To advance to the next course in the required sequence, students must complete the prerequisite course with a grade of 'C' or better.
