This certificate will indicate to industry that the individual with this certification has the basic lab skills needed to immediately start working in biotech lab with minimal in-house training outside of any proprietary skills particular to that company. Industry is hungry for technicians that already possess these skills and will preferentially hire someone with these skills over someone with a 4-year biology degree without these skills.
