About the Horticulture Technology Certificate programs

Local and regional markets have a strong demand for students trained in horticulture. You’ll explore your future in OSU-Oklahoma City’s Horticulture Technologies programs and are welcome to stop by the John Kirkpatrick Building to see what the excitement is all about.

Overview

The Horticulture Certificate prepares you for the challenges of entering the horticulture industry. Career options include professional plant grower, food crop grower, interior plant technician, athletic field and golf course manager, and greenhouse worker. You’ll find many opportunities to work in the horticulture field.

The Retail Floral Design Certificate teaches you modern floral design techniques. You’ll be prepared for roles such as independent florist or retail floral designer.

 

Coursework

Courses include introductory horticulture, soil science, turfgrass, landscaping, plant identification, pest management and food crops. For a full list of courses, see the degree sheet.
