About the Horticulture Technology Certificate programs

Overview

The Horticulture Certificate prepares graduates for the challenges entering the horticulture industry.  Career options include professional plant grower, food crop grower, interior plant worker, athletic fields and golf course management, and greenhouse workers.  There are many options for working in the horticulture field.

The Retail Floral Design Certificate will prepare graduates for modern techniques in floral design.  Job opportunities include independent florist and retail floral.

 

Coursework

For specific courses see degree sheet.  Courses consist of introductory courses in horticulture, soil science, turfgrass, landscaping, plant identification, pest management, and food crops.
