With numerous employment opportunities available, such as bookkeeping, office manager, accounts receivable or accounts payable and billing, it is no wonder that accounting paraprofessionals are consistently in demand. Graduates from OSU-OKC’S Accounting AAS program have been placed in public accounting firms, private companies, nonprofit agencies and government offices.

At OSU-OKC, our accounting program focuses on more than just coursework. Our accounting curriculum fosters the development of a broad range of skills through approximately 60 credit hours of accounting, computer applications and business-related courses. These skills include:

  • A basic theoretical knowledge of accounting
  • A high level of competency with computer applications
  • Effective communication skills
  • Familiarity of the business environment
  • Strong decision-making skills

Class sizes are relatively small and students have access to tutoring and a computer lab.
