  • Oklahoma College Assistance Program

    The Oklahoma College Assistance Program (OCAP), formerly known as the Oklahoma Guaranteed Student Loan Program, provides college access, aid awareness, financial literacy and student loan management programs and services that benefit students, parents, schools and community partners.

     

    An operating division of the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education founded by the State Legislature in 1965, OCAP has served as Oklahoma's designated guarantor for the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) for more than 50 years

  • Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education

    The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education serves as the coordinating board for the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education, which is comprised of 25 colleges and universities – including two research universities, 10 regional universities, one public liberal arts university, and 12 community colleges – and 11 constituent agencies and two university centers. The State Regents prescribe academic standards of higher education, determine functions and courses of study at state colleges and universities, grant degrees, approve each public college's and university's allocations, and approve tuition and fees within the limits set by the Oklahoma Legislature. The State Regents also manage numerous scholarships and special programs and operate OneNet, the state’s advanced data network for education and government, and the Oklahoma College Assistance Program (OCAP), which provides important college planning, borrower education, and default prevention programs and services that support students and higher education campuses.

  • Oklahoma Money Matters

    Oklahoma Money Matters (OKMM) is a personal finance education program that helps K-12 schools, higher education campuses, businesses, and community partners develop or expand educational services that empower Oklahomans to make positive financial choices. An initiative of the Oklahoma College Assistance Program and the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, OKMM offers information, resources, and a variety of services to educate students, adults and families about managing personal finances, saving, consumer credit, financial aid, and student loan management.

  • Ready Set Repay

    Ready Set Repay, the Oklahoma College Assistance Program’s (OCAP) student loan management initiative, empowers borrowers in every stage of the loan lifecycle – in school, in repayment, facing repayment challenges, or in default status - to make smart borrowing choices, successfully navigate repayment, and overcome loan default.

  • OKcollegestart

    OKcollegestart.org is Oklahoma’s comprehensive college planning portal for students, parents, and educators. The site features an interactive scholarship search program, ACT and SAT test prep resources, career exploration and planning tools, and detailed profiles of public and independent colleges and universities. Through the portal, users access detailed federal and state financial aid information and an online application for Oklahoma’s Promise scholarship program. Site content is available in more than 100 languages, and OKcollegestart.org offers a companion site for educators and counselors.

  • Federal Student Aid

    The U.S. Department of Education offers StudentAid.gov to provide information on all types of financial aid for college. Federal Student Aid seeks to make students and parents aware of scholarships, grants, and other forms of aid that are available to assist them in covering the cost of higher education.

  • Practical Money Skills

    Practical Money Skills for Life offers a program designed to link consumers, educators, banks and governments to the tools and resources they need, helping individuals and communities develop their money management skills. Their belief is that greater financial knowledge can empower people to better manage their money and improve their quality of life.

  • Smart About Money

    Want to boost your money IQ? Visit the National Endowment for Financial Education’s (NEFE) website, www.smartaboutmoney.org, for tips and resources about financial planning topics like credit and debt, saving, investing and retirement. This resource center offers courses, workshops, tools, multimedia and online materials to improve financial decision-making.

  • 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy

    360 Degrees of Financial Literacy, an effort of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), offers free tools and resources to help adults manage their finances through every stage of life. The website offers general information for managing personal finances without recommending specific financial actions.

  • Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
    The Federal Trade Commission offers several publications and materials to educate consumers about issues ranging from credit to investments to privacy, among other topics. One of their goals is to protect consumers from unfair and deceptive practices in the marketplace
