Federal Loans

Federal Direct PLUS Loan | 6 credits required | Non-need-based loan. Available to parents of dependent undergraduate students who are enrolled in at least half-time. Financial need is not a requirement. The borrower is responsible for interest during the life of the loan. | The maximum amount is the cost of attendance minus any other financial aid the dependent student receives. |
Direct Loan Entrance Counseling
First-time borrowers of Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized loans are required to complete entrance counseling. This requirement helps students understand the process of applying for the loan, and how to manage educational expenses and informs students of their rights and responsibilities as a borrower.
Student Aid Entrance Counseling
Students should allow at least 30 minutes to complete this online requirement.
Direct Loan Exit Information
Borrowers who graduate, leave school, or drop below half-time enrollment are required by law to complete loan exit counseling to help you understand your responsibilities when repaying their federal loans.
Borrowers who do not or will not complete Exit Counseling online should review the Direct Loan Exit Counseling Guide complete the Student Contact Information and Acknowledgment sections and submit copies to OSU-OKC and your loan servicer.
