Application Checklist

Step 1: Apply to OSU-OKC

Interested applicants of the Nurse Science program must first apply and be admitted to OSU-OKC. When applying to OSU-OKC, declare the Nurse Science program as your major.

When applicants are transferring courses from other institutions, it is strongly suggested to apply to Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City approximately 4-6 weeks prior to submitting a program application packet.

Complete the OSU-OKC institutional application

Step 2: Have an OKEY student account to receive official school emails.

Activating an OKEY student account will provide you with a Campus-wide ID and student email address (@okstate.edu). You must list your CWID on all application documents and communicate with your official okstate.edu email account.

Step 3: Ensure all pre-requisite and support coursework is complete.

It is strongly recommended to apply to the program after you have completed all the above required (CAAHEP) prerequisite and support course(s) with a grade of ‘C’ or higher. Completion of the following courses with a “C” or better grade posted to your transcript prior to the application deadline:

(See important points of consideration when applying). General education courses such as English Composition, History and American Government will usually transfer if they are three credit hour courses. Science courses must be a minimum of four credit hours. It is strongly recommended to call our Admissions Department to ensure course transferability and/or our advisement department to undergo advisement for any remaining required prerequisite coursework. The University Admissions Department can be reached at 405-945-3224 and the Nurse Science Advisors can be reached at 405-945-3248 or 405-945-3349.
