Outside Proctor Service – Professor’s Page
Thank you for inquiring about our proctoring services at OSU-OKC. We offer proctoring services to examinees from other universities/schools and businesses during our regular business hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Friday – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
All tests are stopped at 10 minutes before closing time and considered completed, regardless of the examinees progress and time remaining for the exam.
Process:
- Contact the testing center, okc.testing@okstate.edu or 405.945.8648, with the following information:
- What kind of exam you need proctoring services for
- How the exam is accessed, via LMS, webpage, testing portal, etc.
- If emailing us, please include your name and phone number
***We provide proctoring services for most exams, however there may be a rare situation where we may not be able to deliver the exam. ***
- Once we know we will be able to administer your exams to your student, we will need the following information:
- Name of the student(s) allowed to test with us
- Name of the course and exam (LLLL #### Exam 1)
- Dates allowed to deliver the exam
- Time allowed to take the test
- Notes/books student may take into the test room, if allowed. (If the course textbook is the only book allowed, please specify the title)
- Permitted calculators
- If scratch paper is permitted
- If the exam is a computer test, we will need a password.
- How will the exam be accessed? (website address, Canvas, etc.)
- Will there be other online materials allowed? If so, what will be allowed? (Excel, Stat Crunch, Formula table embedded in exam, etc.)
- If the exam is a paper exam, how to return test by mail*** or email.
- Contact phone numbers, etc. we can call while testing, if we have a question about the administration of the exam
- Any special instructions, required programs, forms that need to be completed by the proctor, etc.
***If your exam is required to be returned via mail, tester is required to bring an adequately sized envelope with the correct amount of postage on the envelope to return the exam in *****
When we receive the instructions, we will prepare your exam for your student and administer the exam.
The Student Needs to Know:
- Students need to schedule an appointment
- Pay for their exam fee via credit/debit card (link in their appointment confirmation email) or bring cash to campus and pay before their exam.
- Students must bring a valid, unexpired physical ID to the testing center
- ID must match them and their name on the exam roster submitted.
Make sure their name on your roster or what you use in class matches the ID they will present. If it doesn’t, the student will not be allowed to test.
- Students MUST know their
- Instructor’s name
- Course Number and Exam Title
- Username and password – it is a computer exam
- Read and follow the Testing Center Testing Policy
Highlights (not a complete list):
- No hats/head coverings or headbands bigger than ½ inch
- No zip-up jackets/outerwear – rooms are kept around 72 degrees – dress appropriately
- ALL cell phones, laptops, tablets and other electronic devices must be turned off and stored in a locker or the student’s vehicle.
- Any index cards/notes/charts the student may be allowed to use on the exam will be attached to the exam and NOT given back to the student.
- Students may not eat or drink in the testing rooms.
- Students may not bring their children to the Testing Center while testing.
