Non-Resident Tuition Waiver

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN OR ELIGIBLE NON-CITIZEN (Non-eligible citizens should visit www.osuit.edu/admissions/international.php)
Degree-seeking students enrolled in Associate in Science (AS), Associate in Applied Science (AAS), or Bachelor of Technology (BT) programs may be eligible to receive a waiver for the out-of-state portion of their tuition.
Award Notification
Eligible students will be notified of their waiver award through their financial aid award letter or by checking the Banner Portal at my.okstate.edu.
Eligibility and Renewal
Students meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) will automatically qualify for the Non-Resident Tuition Waiver (NONRES) for up to six consecutive terms.
Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Requirements:

Cumulative GPA:
- For 1-30 credit hours earned: Minimum GPA of 1.7 on a 4.0 scale.
- For 31+ credit hours: Minimum GPA of 2.0 for most programs.
- For Information Technology Division (ITD), Engineering Technology Division (ETD), or any BT program: Minimum GPA of 2.5.

Completion Rate (PACE):
- Students must successfully complete at least 67% of attempted credit hours.

Waiver Revocation
The waiver will be revoked if:
- The student fails to maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Appeal Process
Students who lose eligibility for the non-resident tuition waiver may appeal in writing.

Appeals must outline extenuating circumstances and provide a plan for addressing these issues.
