Tuition Waivers

Tuition waiver scholarships are scholarships that cover a portion of the tuition charges and cannot exceed the tuition charges. Maintaining a minimum of three credit hours and satisfactory academic progress are required to receive tuition waivers. There are several different types of tuition waivers, including the following:

  • Resident Tuition Waivers Scholarships- are partial tuition waivers awarded to Oklahoma residents. Funds are limited and not guaranteed.
  • Non-Resident Tuition Waiver Scholarships- are partial tuition waivers awarded to Non-Resident students who have gone through a Residency petition with admissions and met the eligibility criteria.   • Independent Living Act (Foster Care Tuition Waivers) - are awarded to eligible students who have been in Department of Human Services custody for at least ni ne months between the ages of 16 and 18. For more information, contact the Oklahoma Independent Living Program at 405-521-3778 or the University of Oklahoma National Resource Center for Youth Services at 800-397-2945.
  • Oklahoma National Guard Assistance - The Oklahoma National Guard Educational Assistance Program provides financial assistance for higher education to eligible members of the Oklahoma National Guard. This program was established by the Oklahoma Legislature in 2022.

OSU-OKC Foundation Scholarships

OSU-Oklahoma City has a variety of scholarships available through the OSU Foundation. OSU-OKC Foundation Scholarships are available in the majority of the university’s academic divisions as well as other areas of interest.

Oklahoma's Promise

Oklahoma's Promise is a program for 8th, 9th, and 10th-grade students (homeschool students aged 13-15) that helps cover college tuition if their parents' income is $55,000 or less. Administered by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, this program ensures financial support for eligible students. Please ensure that you complete your FAFSA each year with OSU OKC school code (009647) list on it so we can process your Oklahoma Promise scholarships. For more details, visit the OK Promise website.
