Adult Student Requirements
Adult students can include:
- persons under 21 years of age who have not graduated high school but whose high school class has graduated and
- persons 21 years of age and older or active duty military personnel who do not meet the standard admissions requirements.
Persons under 21 years of age
Interested applicants who are not high school graduates but whose high school class has graduated and who has participated in the ACT program or a similar battery of tests is eligible for admission.
Each applicant shall provide:
- Completed application for admission.
- Official copy of academic records demonstrating an ability to benefit.
- ACT (or similar battery) test scores.*
- Non-resident application fee, if applicable.
- Proof of immunization record or signed certificate of exemption.
*The OSU-OKC assessment test (ACCUPLACER) may also be needed for placement purposes. OSU-OKC does not require a minimum score on either of these tests for admission.
Persons 21 years of age and old or active duty military
Interested applicants who are ineligible for admission based on the standard admission criteria may interview with an admissions officer to determine if his or her circumstances meet the criteria for adult admission.
Each applicant shall provide:
- Completed application for admission.
- Official copy of academic records demonstrating an ability to benefit, including:
- high school transcripts,
- GED,
- standardized admission examinations,
- placement tests,
- non-collegiate professional licentiate and
- appropriate work/career experiences.
- Non-resident application fee, if applicable.
- Proof of immunization record or signed certificate of exemption.
