Ronda Reece

Ronda Reece is the Vice President for Budget and Finance at Oklahoma State University - Oklahoma City where she has served since 2001.  Her roles on campus have included Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Director of Business Services.  Currently her team consists of the offices of Accounting, Budget, Business Services, Campus Events and Wellness, Financial Aid, Human Resources, Purchasing,  Prior to her time on campus she served in the banking industry and county government.  Ronda graduated with her Associate’s degree from Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City, and earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Southern Nazarene University.  She and her husband Jeff have been married for over 31 years and have two sons and two dogs.  She enjoys spending time with her family outside, taking walks and riding her bike.


JoBeth Hamon

Councilwoman JoBeth Hamon was elected in 2019 to serve Oklahoma City's Ward 6. She is the 11th woman to serve on the Oklahoma City Council. JoBeth grew up in the Pacific Northwest and moved to Oklahoma for college - graduating from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2012, where she received her degree in Family & Community Services. After graduating, she joined the Episcopal Service Corps in Chicago where she worked at a shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness. Since moving to Oklahoma City in 2014, JoBeth has worked for a mental health nonprofit, coordinating mental health education events and suicide prevention training programs. She lives without a car and navigates the city solely on her bike and the city’s EMBARK bus system.


Nikki Nice

Councilwoman Nikki Nice was elected Nov. 6, 2018, to serve as Ward 7's representative on the Oklahoma City Council. She's the 10th woman, and the second woman of color, to serve on the Council since the City's incorporation in 1890.

Councilwoman Nice serves on the MAPS 3 Citizens Advisory Board, the Zoological Trust and the Trails Advisory Committee.  

A fourth-generation Oklahoman, Councilwoman Nice was born, reared, educated and spiritually nurtured in Ward 7. Her early education was completed in the Millwood Public School District. She is a graduate of Northeast High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcasting from historic Langston University. She has studied abroad in The Gambia and Dakar, Senegal, in West Africa. Councilwoman Nice is a well-known television and radio personality with nearly 15 years of on-air experience in the Oklahoma City market.

Councilwoman Nice brings to the Oklahoma City Council a wealth of leadership and community service. She is the proud recipient of the Opio Toure Medallion award presented by the Oklahoma County Democrats, Finer Womanhood Award presented by the Chi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Citizen of the Year Award presented by the Upsilon Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and the Reach Forward No Fear Lady Award. Nice also served as a member of Class one of L.O.Y.A.L. (Linking Oklahoma’s Young Adult Leaders), Leadership Oklahoma City Class 35, an inaugural Board Member of NLC Oklahoma (New Leaders Council), and as a Northeast Task Force Member with OKCPS. She currently serves as an Executive Board Member for HeartLine, Inc., Special Friends of Ralph Ellison Library Executive Board Member, BLAC (Black Liberated Arts Center) Incorporated Board Member, Working Together for Change Ministries Board Member and Northeast Academy PTSA Vice President.

Councilwoman Nice lives in Northeast Oklahoma City and is the proud daughter of Roberta. She is a pet lover, music lover and a lover of people, and she is committed to moving Ward 7 and Oklahoma City "Forward Together."


Dr. Star Oosahwe Yellowfish

Dr. Star Oosahwe Yellowfish is a member of the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians of Oklahoma and is of the Bird Clan.  She lives in Yukon, Oklahoma with her husband Easton Yellowfish and their two sons, Reignen Makoa and Pacer Iolani.  Her parents are Leon and Linda Oosahwe of Mesa, Arizona and her grandmother is the late Beatrice Oosahwe of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. 

Dr. Yellowfish received her Ph.D. in Adult and Higher Education at the University of Oklahoma.  Dr. Yellowfish received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Arizona State University and her Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Oklahoma.  Her research and expertise includes Native American student retention in higher education, Native American student success factors, peer mentoring, and coping mechanisms for Native American students. 

Dr. Yellowfish has extensive experience in higher education and the K-12 system, particularly with the Native American population.  She currently works for the Oklahoma City Public Schools as the Director of Native American Student Services.  Under Dr. Yellowfish’s leadership, OKCPS has implemented a number of cultural and academic programs specifically designed for their Native American students.  All of these programs are targeted at improving the educational experience of Native American children in Oklahoma City Public Schools.

"Dr. Star", as her students call her, has gone beyond the community level to advocate and support Indian education and students.  She previously sat on the National Board of Directors for the National Indian Education Association (NIEA).  As a past NIEA board member and current NIEA member, Dr. Yellowfish advocates at a national level for policies that affect Indian students, families and programs.  Dr. Yellowfish also served on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Council for Indian Education which is a state-wide organization dedicated to serving Indian students and assisting Indian Education programs. 


Miriam Campos

Miriam Campos is a Business Development Professional at Arvest Bank with over ten successful years in the financial industry and proven community leadership in Oklahoma City.

Miriam’s relationship building experience has allowed her to serve and connect the business community through financial resources, education and establish relationships within the community at large. Miriam has over 20 years of hands-on community engagement experience and continues to work tirelessly to make a positive impact in Oklahoma City. Miriam currently serves on the Board of Education for Metro Technology Centers, School District No.22, Ward 6, the Latino Community Development Agency, Board of Directors Vice Chair, the OKC Dodgers Baseball Foundation Board of Directors, Development Committee Chair, the Calle Dos Cinco in Historic Capitol Hill District Calle Dos Cinco, Board of Directors and also serves on the Citizens Committee for Community Development for Ward 6among others. Miriam was recently appointed as a Trustee by Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt to the Oklahoma City Economic Development Trust in December of 2020 as well as to the Charter Review Committee for the City of Oklahoma City in February of 2020.

Miriam’s passion for the community and expertise was Featured in the "Latino History in Oklahoma" exhibit of the Oklahoma Historical Society in October of 2020. In addition, Miriam was published in the Latina Style Magazine, "College Beat Edition: Lessons in Community Service" in 2005.

Miriam is a member of VEST Her Inc., which is a curated network of women working together to expedite the pipeline of women in positions of power. Miriam is also a member of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO), the Oklahoma State School Board Association and the Leadership Oklahoma City Alumni Association.
