Student Speech Competition
You could win free tuition at OSU-OKC in our annual Speech Competition! Submit your speech by Oct. 1 based on the theme "What does college mean to me?" A group of finalists will be selected to present their speech in front of a panel of judges, with the top three finishers each receiving a prize.
FIRST PRIZE | Winner will receive 12 hours of tuition to be used in one semester at OSU-OKC.*
SECOND PRIZE | Second-place will receive three hours of tuition to be used in one semester at OSU-OKC.*
THIRD PRIZE | Third-place will receive three hours of tuition to be used in one semester at OSU-OKC.*
SPEECH TOPIC | Students will prepare and present a speech on the topic of what college means to them.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS | Students must be in good standing, with at least a 2.5 GPA, and be enrolled in at least 9 hours.**
HOW TO REGISTER | To enter, students can self-register in Canvas for the OSU-OKC Speech Competition learning community where students will find instructions for the contest, relevant deadlines, and helpful tips on improving speeches.
COMPETITION DEADLINES
- October 1, 2022 - Deadline for initial outline/essay.
- November 15, 2022 - Speech presentation competition at 2 p.m. in the Hub.
