What motivates you to be successful?: There are two things that motivate me to be successful: my family and the global pandemic. I am ready to be that frontline worker who is always ready to help in any circumstance.

Why is Black History Month important to you?: When you think about our history, being Black is amazing, especially now. In the past, we were beat on just for being Black. But we have persevered. Women like Mary McLeod Bethune, Sojourner Truth, and Ella Baker taught me how to fight for myself as a Black woman. Madam CJ Walker taught me how to do my hair and be in love with the texture of my hair. Alice Ball and Marie M. Day showed me to not be scared of Science. And Serena Williams and Kamala Harris taught me that you give your best in everything you do, no matter how cruel the world is to you, because in the end you will always win. These are the reasons Black History Month is extremely important to me.
