OSU-OKC set for Fiestas de las Americas
The Fiestas de las Americas returns to Historic Capitol Hill in Oklahoma City on Sept. 28, and OSU-OKC is taking part.
Faculty, staff and students from Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City will take part in the parade from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Sept. 28.
Fiestas de las Americas is the largest Latino festival in Oklahoma City. Each year, the event launches with the Parade of the Americas, followed by a day of family friendly activities, live entertainment, art and pop-up markets. The annual event began in 2006 and is scheduled in the middle of Hispanic Heritage Month. The parade showcases schools, businesses, community groups, leaders and others.
The parade route starts at Scissortail Park and goes south on Robinson to Calle Dos Cinco.
