Oklahoma City - An OSU Degree in OKC.

OSU-OKC’s 29th annual public Poinsettia Sale begins Nov. 28

Plants available in Orange Spice, white, pink and red on OSU-OKC campus

The Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City Business & Agriculture Technologies Division will ring in the holiday season by hosting its annual Poinsettia Sale starting Wednesday, Nov. 28.

The sale runs from Nov. 28 through Dec. 1, with an additional sale day set for Dec. 8, in the Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City (OSU-OKC) John E. Kirkpatrick Horticulture Center located on campus at 400 N Portland Ave.

The sale will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each weekday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday.

This is the 29th year for the university to hold its public Poinsettia Sale. The first public sale was held in 1990, although OSU-OKC staged a sale for university faculty and staff only from 1985-89, before the sale was opened to the public.

During the sale, the OSU-OKC greenhouses come to life with the colorful plants, transforming the space into a vibrant sea of colorful leaves, including white, pink and red. This year’s sale will also include the popular Orange Spice poinsettia.

All of the plants sold at the sale are grown on campus starting in early spring. The nearly nine-month process involves diligent and careful care on the part of OSU-OKC agriculture students, faculty and staff.

Proceeds from the sale benefit OSU-OKC horticulture students and programs. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
